Katelyn's First Birthday

Katelyn's first birthday was a blast. She really enjoyed her cakes.
Rose cake in memory of Grandma Nose (they share a birthday).



Yummy cakes. I loved my party and all my friends who came to celebrate.

Katelyn's First Steps

Katelyn has been cruising/running around the house using toys and furniture for over a month now. Here she is taking some of her first successful steps all on her own.

2 weeks

I can't believe that in two weeks Katelyn is going to be a year old.
I thought time was going fast, but this is down right too soon for my baby girl to be a year old.

She climbed on it, then on to the table,
all while mom thought she was being so good playing in the toy room.
Note to self, check on Katelyn more often.

Fun with Will

Will is getting to be a character. Here are some fun recent photos of him.

Week (I mean months) Long Project

Mark thought he would take the week off between Christmas and New Years and do quick project at home. I have to mention that the bathroom shares walls with Katelyn's bedroom, so I limited the amount of noise he could make twice a day. He mentioned to me last night he has 3 steps left (still). They are small, and one of them requires me finding towel bars that I like and purchasing them.

Sanibel Vacation

We went to Sanibel to visit Yei-Yei and Grammie recently. It was wonderful
to escape the freezing ice and snow we were having here in Indiana.
We had a blast and can't wait to figure out when and
how to get there again.
Will and Katelyn loved bike rides. We took this one to see the "bird lady" show us and inform us about all sorts of tropical birds. The kids both enjoyed the sites and sounds.

We also spent plenty of time in the pool.
Will's favorite time was beach time, Yei-yei obliged every day.
Katelyn enjoyed the beach blanket!

This is what happens when you have tooo much fun and won't take a nap. You just pass out random places like here and in the car seat.
We all even took a boat ride. Katelyn did not really enjoy the life jacket.
